Now to my question. I like to use traditional materials, e.g. "ettan", which I made from beeswax and tar (tjära). I know also that the sheep tallow (talg) was in old days used in compound. Please does anybody know the recipe for "ettan" which contains wax, tar and tallow (vax, tjära och talg)?

Hello!
You don´t need any tallow if you got Ettan. Ettan with tar and wax only will suffice for you. Tallow was used in early times but is not as good as Ettan since the fat will go bad with time. Even if you refine the tallow with alcohol it will not add any extra to Ettan and I have not heard of the combination with tallow in mixture with Ettan. But I have not heard everthing
Tallow is useful in case of lack of Ettan, but not as good if you ask me. Or do you have any special considerations to use tallow?
